Golden Syrup Dumplings



Ingredient Amount
Self-Raising Flour 2 cups
Butter 2 tablespoons
Eggs 2
Milk a splash


Ingredient Amount
Water 3 cups
Golden syrup 4 tablespoons
Butter 4 tablespoons
Sugar 2 cups


  1. Rub butter into flour. Add egg. Add enough milk to make dough (this should be a very small amount).
  2. Roll into balls slightly larger than maltesers.
  3. Bring to boil remaining ingredients.
  4. Place dumplings in boiling mixture and reduce it to a simmer. Very low heat here.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes, shaking slightly after 10. Keep the lid on.
  6. Serve with cream and enjoy!
